Treausre Hunt

Treausre Hunt

You know when you take a picture of something and you’re convinced it’ll look great?

And then in the end you have a look and you’re presented with something far away from what you had imagined?

Well this was one of those occasions. Disappointed I put the picture away and thought “ah well, maybe next time”. Until Julia said “hey, that’s clever – X marks the spot”.

I hadn’t even seen that – and started liking it again. This is a burnt out house just off Gunnersbury Station, an old car retailer I believe.

Richard and Susie

Richard and Susie

It was a really late night in MCR, and both Richard and Susie had stayed behind for a mid-week Football League Show. All went well, and we were just about to wrap up the party when I remembered I had my camera with me. Why not take a picture – I won’t get many more opportunities to snap away at my colleagues before I leave the country for good.

Maybe my camera knew we were all tired, none of the red eyes and dark rings came out – and instead a drawing-like artwork was created (mainly thanks to motion blur and a 5 second exposure).

I’m loving it!

Opposite Downing Street

Opposite Downing Street

After I took the shot of the guardsman, I looked across the street to find this stunning bit of British architecture. The light was nice so I snapped away.

Only later when we crossed the river Thames on Westminster Bridge did I take a look at my last two pictures – and both Andy and I were blown away by the resolution and sharpness this puppy can produce under the right circumstances.

Thanks SX70 – the more I shoot you, the more I’m falling in love with you ;-)

Ninjas

Ninjas

Julia knitted these little Ninja Dudes a few months ago, and since then they’ve become the invisible little helpers around the house. Be it web hosting, code hacking, or watching TV – the Ninjas manage to get involved somehow. A bit like Woody…

Here they are chilling out on the beach. Lingonberry on the left, Blackberry on the right.

Nick from TX

Nick from TX

Nick loves football, especially watching it 12 hours a day without leaving a 4 square foot room with no windows. Wouldn’t everybody?

Nick works with us in MCR on PLTV, a rolling content channel brought to you by IMG.

This was the first ever picture I took on the Black Frame material. We had meticulously setup the shot, the light looked goo, but when I pressed the shutter I realised the cartridge was emtpy. So technically this is Take 2 ;-)

Loo View

Loo View

I wasn’t sure if there was film in my Golden SX 70 or not, so I was debating wether to put one in and was fiddling with it while sitting on the bog – as you do.

And what do you know – there WAS film in there, and this is exactly what it looks like when the door isn’t closed, around 10 in the morning.

Note to self: must not share stories like this on my Blog… what will people think or me?

Meat Van

Meat Van

Once every week, Wednesdays I think it is, we have this meat disposal van turn up to collect butcher’s waste from Golden Mean across the road.

Since Impossible PX 680 is supposed to bring out the most vivid colours instant folm has ever seen, I thought the red van would do nicely to prove that point.

And it does ;-) Much better than PX70. Thanks, guys!

IN the background you can still see the now closed and soon to be demolished Oakdale Arms pub. It’s very sad to see it go :-(
