In this live event I’ll tell you everything I know about Iray Canvases in DAZ Studio. It’s a huge topic, and admittedly I don’t know everything about this subject, but it will cover how to get started with multi pass rendering and the principles of creating separate images from your scene.
About Depth Passes
There’s a great video by DarkEdgeDesign about how to use the Depth Canvas in Photoshop – check it out here. Thanks to Capra Media for bringing this to my attention.
There’s also Nabesaka’s article on Depth Canvases here.
Victoria 7 is here! According to the marketing hype she’s “totally amazing”, but we don’t know much about her yet. Feeling finally better, I thought I’d give the new girl a spin and see how DAZ have improved upon the previous generation of Genesis 2 (which – let’s face it – wasn’t shabby at all).
New figures are fun to play with, and I’m sure over the next two years we’ll find out more about Genesis 3 than we will in the first few days. Here’s what I’ve found so far. Continue reading Say hello to Victoria 7→
Before the year is out I have some great news: a texture set Julia and I made last year for DAZ 3D has finally been released after 18 months: the Italian Bucca Dress Textures. I can officially call myself a DAZ PA now – a great honour among 3D artists. This is a great incentive to make some more in 2015.
We created about 20 textures for a 3D mesh by Xena, 5 of which were picked up by DAZ and are now sold in their DAZ Originals range. One texture is included with the Italian Bucca Dress, and four are available as an add-on pack. The dress fits all Genesis 2 Female characters.
