We are excited to hear that a large scale installation with one of our images has been completed: STRIPES is now up as a 12 feet tall backlit galvanised canvas print.
The project was commissioned by Interior Designers Scott Brownrigg for The Crown Estate for their Grade A office building on the A3. The Guildford Business Park is under management of KingSturge and accommodates companies such as Phillips, Colgate-Palmolive and Ericsson. We are more than happy with the result, made possible by the flawless printing and construction efforts of John Anthony Signs.
A big THANK YOU to everyone involved who made this project possible!
I don’t know how big the power of advertising is, but I’m sure there’s something about those millions of pounds that companies spend on billboard and magazine advertising. We have decided to test the waters in the forthcoming December issue of ICON Magazine – THE international publication for architecture and interior design. Let’s see what happens.
By the way, this is our second advert ever. The first one was a full page ad in this year’s Autumn Fair Black Book at the start of the art and interior section.
I’m currently working on a new series of images which I call
The Book of Circles. It’s work in progress at this stage, and I’m planning an image book and an exhibition of all images once I feel they’re finished.
We’ve just confirmed another exhibition for this year:
some of our work will be on show as part of Square Art in London’s Golden Square near Piccadilly Circus. The exhibition showcases work by artist who are working in the media and broadcast industry, brought to live by Golden Square Post Production.
We will have several sizes on show, from 12 x 12cm Framed to 1m x 1m Aluminium Diasec. 10% of all sales will go to charity.
We are pleased to announce that our images will shortly be available as Limited Edition Light Boxes!
The idea of backlighting our images has been a dream from the start, and courtesy of Chris at www.artlucent.com, we have finally found a solution to do it justice. The LucentFrame illuminates images evenly from the back with white LEDs, using a standard 100-240 Volt power supply for use anywhere in the world. The frame is only 20mm thick and is available in matt black and silver, available in sizes from 40x60cm up to a massive 90x135cm. Check the ArtLucent website for more information.
We currently have a portable prototype available, and will be launching the new frames exclusively at Autumn Fair this year.
UPDATE: As of 2008, Art Lucent are no longer trading.
Thanks to all the visitors joining us at Battersea last weekend. We had tremendous reactions to our work, and we appreciate them all! We are currently researching where to exhibit next, and we’ll let you know once we’ve decided.
We were asked if our diasec mounted prints are waterproof and ready for hanging in bathrooms. The fortunate answer is YES THEY ARE! If you’re interested in this service, please let us know when you order.
