Reuben Ward’s studio Narrative Tools makes some really elegant Unreal Engine frameworks called Narrative. There’s several versions of them, and they all serve a different purpose. There’s
- Narrative Pro, but there’s also
- Narrative Tales
- Narrative Navigator
- Narrative Inventory
- and Narrative Interaction
The latter four are component-based plugins you can easily add to existing projects. They integrate well if you need one component for an otherwise working system. Narrative Pro on the other hand is a combined version of all these components fused together, pre-integrated into one giant framework. It’s big and very advanced, cannot be split apart or integrated with anything else.
It’s like re-learning Unreal Engine all over again! Check out the official documentation here: https://docs.narrativetools.io/
To date I've written 8 articles about Narrative Pro for this site.
Here's a list of them. If you prefer a view with teaser content and pictures, take a look at the Narrative Archives.
