I always forget how to do this: most viewports can be changed into full screen mode by hovering over a window and selecting CTRL + SPACE BAR. This works great for 3D and node views, less so for things like the timeline or the outliner.

Sometimes I get stuck in full screen and can’t control-space out… Do you know a fix?
It depends on where your mouse is when you press CTRL+Space. Make sure to hover over the viewport, if you happen to be on the sidebar or in the menu, the shortcut won’t work.
